On January 15, 2021, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR), requiring all public water systems to develop a publicly available inventory of all service lines connected to the distribution system by October 16, 2024. Municipalities nationwide recognize these inventories help protect public health, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support effective maintenance and upgrade schedules.
