Client: TECO Peoples Gas

HBK Engineering, LLC (HBK) has been providing TECO Peoples’ Gas with engineering services; including design, basemap creation, drafting, and permitting support as part of their 10-year accelerated program to replace all of the existing Aldyl-A gas mains on their system with Polyethylene (PE) pipe (approximately 500-miles total).

Deer Run Main Replacement
This project included the design and permitting of 145,000LF of proposed 2” PE gas main and 26,000LF of proposed 4” PE gas main to replace existing Aldyl-A gas main in the Deer Run development in TECO’s service area in Casselberry, FL (Seminole County).
HBK Engineering delivered the over 32-mile design to the client ahead of schedule, and received much praise for the design and the clean look of the deliverables.

Williamsburg Main Replacement
This project included the design and permitting of 108,100LF of proposed 2” PE gas main and 21,165LF of 4” PE gas main to replace existing Aldyl-A gas main in Williamsburg, FL for TECO Peoples’ Gas.

HBK worked closely with the permitting agency (Orange County) to ensure that permit submittals were approved without the “back-and-forth” that typically results in working with a new agency.  HBK received very positive feedback on the design and presentation of the deliverable from both the client and the permitting agency.
