Client: TECO Peoples Gas
HBK Engineering, LLC (HBK) provided engineering services, including design, basemap creation, drafting, and permitting support for the installation of 15,000LF of proposed 2” PE gas main to replace 15,000LF of 2” Bare Steel gas main on the Oaklando Bare Steel project for the Orlando Division of TECO Peoples’ Gas. Additionally, this project included the design to replace the existing regulator station. This project is part of TECO Peoples’ Gas 10-year accelerated program to replace approximately 400 miles of bare steel pipe and approximately 150 miles of cast iron pipe.
The coordination effort and communication with the client in the early stage of the design life-cycle clearly defined the expectations and requirements of the client, which resulted in a successful project delivery and permitting effort. In addition, HBK made last-minute revisions to the project plan to ensure timely permitting of the design.
HBK received very positive feedback on the design and presentation of the deliverable from the client. The client indicated that they liked the clean appearance that HBK’s standard drawings presented.
