HBK's oil and gas team provided engineering, procurement, surveying, and construction servicesfor the Natural Gas Pipeline Project to support gas storage near San Angelo, Texas. This project was completed in conjunction with Quanta’s subsidiary Can-Fer Utility Services, LLC, who self-performed the construction activities.
The project consisted of approximately 1.5 miles of 8-inch pipeline from the Ft. Concho Gas Storage Facility to three (3) new stations to supply bi-directional pigging, custody transfer metering, and gas compression interconnection for the new generating unit in Tom Green County, Texas. There was a cold cut and welded tie-in at the Atmos 8-inch origin near their existing 12-inch trap connecting to the new meter station. The pipeline paralleled an existing 8-inch pipeline. The compressor station and meter station interconnect have the launcher at the origin and receiver trap at the compressor station bolted tie-in.
