To wrap up Hispanic Heritage Month and kick-start Global Diversity Awareness Month, the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry hosted its largest career showcasing event of the year, Science Works. Our volunteers were excited to join the HBK station and share all about HBK, their job, and how utility engineering impacts the world every day. It was a fun-filled day meeting with other STEM professionals and interacting with about 600 youth and families. We were proud that everyone got a chance to be an engineer for the day and complete the HBK sandbox activity, connecting power from a manhole to a building!
