HBKer Jeremy Ungrund presented to two 5th Grade classes via Zoom on December 8th in the Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) Junior Science Cafes. He shared his personal story of being an engineer with the children to inspire the students to pursue careers in STEM.
Jeremy discussed the variety of sectors of engineering from transportation to electric to water to environmental, and he answered questions about his career working in utilities. He informed the children about the various types of utilities located both above ground and below ground. He stressed that his projects are team-based with engineers and how important it is to be able to work together as a team through the process.
Thanks to MSI for providing this unique learning opportunity for students during COVID and for including HBK!
