HBK values its partnerships and the importance of giving all businesses the opportunity to compete fairly for business. We support minority-owned and women-owned businesses who are aligned in our commitment to improve our infrastructure with a safe and accurate manner.

Our community relationships are important to us. We understand that our involvement in the community now will impact our future. HBK is actively involved in various organizations that support our pillars of health, education, and safety.

Employee Volunteer Program

We know that CHANGING a community is more than the upgrading of wires and pipes that run underground and the reconstruction of buildings and roads. Changing a community is about SUPPORTING the people who live and contribute to those COMMUNITIES on a DAILY basis. HBK’s Employee Volunteer Program, HBK IMPACT, has been designed to do just that.

Workforce Development

HBK has been a proud participant in ComEd’s Construction Jobs Educational Program, “CONSTRUCT” since its inception in 2013. HBK is committed to supporting CONSTRUCT because we believe everyone deserves a chance to expand or build a new career.

CONSTRUCT is a nine-week training program offering up the information and guidance needed to compete for well paying, entry-level jobs in construction-related fields.

  • In 2018, The Construct Program placed 80% of its candidates in the workforce.
  • During the 10 years of HBK’s participation, we have hired 19 candidates.
