HBK IMPACT volunteers assisted the CommUnity Crisis Services Center and Food Bank in Iowa City on Tuesday, January 21. The center is a volunteer-driven organization that provides immediate and non-judgmental support for individuals facing emotional, food, or financial crisis. Johnson County residents in need of grocery assistance are able to fill grocery carts with free food once per week.

HBK volunteer duties included stocking vegetables, fruits and dry goods for immediate distribution during the shopping hours of the food bank. They also helped by bagging the residents selections. After the food bank closed, HBK assisted with restocking empty shelves for residents who would visit the next day.
