HBK was pleased to sponsor the Bud Blossom Golf Outing at Shoreacres Country Club in Lake Bluff, IL, on Sept. 21 to raise general operating funds for Chicago Commons. This year, the organization allocated the cost of the dinner specifically toward their COVID-19 Relief Fund which provides emergency financial assistance for their families, PPE and hand sanitizers for their centers and staff, and safety modifications to their early childhood education and senior centers.
Founded in 1984, Chicago Commons was one of Chicago's original settlement houses serving immigrants on Chicago's near north side. For 125, the organization has operated in areas where residents are most under-resourced. Today, it is located in the neighborhoods of Humboldt Park, Pilsen, Back of the Yards, and Bronzeville, and offers senior care throughout metro Chicago. Its programs work together to create opportunities and move children and families toward educational success, economic security, and health and well-being.
