An HBK foursome joined the Bohne Foundation at its 11th annual golf charity outing at the Oak Brook Golf Club to support medical research, local underprivileged communities, and scholarships.
For the first time, we were excited for HBK’s team of four to spend the day engaging with Chicagoland business leaders while improving their golf game at Orchard Valley Golf Course for the Latinas Executive Golf Association and their Clinic & Mimosas event, which aims to empower and encourage women, especially Latinas, to engage and increase participation in golf activities.
HBK staff was excited to join the Illinois Asian American Civil Engineers (IAACE) at its September Panel Discussion and Networking event to witness a thoughtful discussion and mingle among other industry professionals.
HBK was grateful to join a fun evening to enjoy delicious BBQ smoked meats prepared by talented pitmasters, all to benefit the Shelter House and their BBQ Bash fundraising event, which successfully raised funds to provide housing and meals for those in need.
Our Tulsa team was excited to be back outside again to join the Pipe Liners Club of Tulsa at their 2023 Fall Scholarship Sporting Clay Shoot to help support the advancement of pipeline engineering, maintenance, and operating practices.
Inspired by one of our Woodlands team members, a group of volunteers got to work with Sleep in Heavenly Peace and worked together to deliver beds, mattresses, and bedding to children all around the county. By the end of the day, they were proud to have delivered 8 beds to 4 different houses.
While Latine/x + Hispanic Heritage Month is recognized from September 15th to October 15th, HBK was excited to celebrate the month throughout September. Working alongside our Latine/x Employee Resource, ¡Fuego! we hosted several events, from walk challenges through different Latine/x countries, a month-long game of Loteria, an eye-opening Keynote Speaker virtual and in-person event, and more!
