HBK was grateful to join a night of fun, wine, sweets, and food to celebrate Youth Outreach Services' 60+ years of providing community-based support to at-risk youth and recognize the thousands of youths that have come through the doors to receive free, critical services that empower and enrich each youth to face life’s challenges with confidence, competence, and dignity.

The event was hosted at Loft on the Lake and all proceeds went to improving and expanding our comprehensive services in the areas of behavioral health counseling, prevention, juvenile justice, and child welfare services.

HBK was grateful to participate in the John Burns Annual Charity Sporting Clay Shoot at Max McGraw Wildlife Foundation to benefit Convoy of Hope, AFSP, Chicago Commons, Erie House, March of Dimes, and Sarah's Circle. Our team of four did a great job representing HBK, with one of our very own placing 3rd place overall in the shooting group and receiving a trophy!

HBK was grateful to support the Rabine Foundation and attend their 2023 Annual Golf Outing held at the Bull Valley Golf Course in Woodstock, Illinois. Our foursome joined for lunch followed by a great round of golf. We are proud to support the Rabine Foundation's mission as they invest time, talent, and funds towards nonprofits that benefit children, under-privileged communities and veterans.

It was a beautiful night to join the National Latino Education Institute (NLEI) at their Waterfront Fundraiser to celebrate 51 years of Charting the Course & Navigating the Future. Both new and old supporters of NLEI and Chicago local elected officials came together to honor the many years of working to open pathways to economic prosperity in the Chicago Latino community. 

HBK was grateful to join APWA Fox Valley Branch at their Annual Scholarship Luncheon. The event was hosted by the Eagle Brook Country Club where we had the pleasure of listening to a presentation by Board Member AJ Voth about Engineers in Action!

For the month of June, HBK was excited to celebrate pride month with some fantastic events with our LGBTQ+ employee resource group, Empower. Each week hosted a different event, whether to celebrate the incredible month, learn more about the LGBTQ+ community or gather for thoughtful discussions. We enjoyed coming together for both in-person and virtual events. Happy Pride!

HBK was excited to join El Valor in celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. El Valor hosted its largest fundraiser of the year, the Don Quixote Gala, at The Field Museum of Natural History to celebrate this achievement. Despite obstacles over the years, El Valor has held to its mission and the passion to continue fighting for our community. It was a wonderful night to be among El Valor's staff, partners, and leaders supporting the community. 

We were pleased to join the Caves Valley Golf Classic with Cal Ripken Jr, hosted by Calvin Butler Jr. and HBK Founder, Ron Kaminski. It was an incredible opportunity to connect and fundraise in support of the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, a national nonprofit founded in honor of the legend and spirit of Cal Ripken Sr.

HBK was pleased to attend Seramount’s 2-Day Multicultural Women's National Conference. This event is one of the only conferences in the nation that focuses on women of color talent and their supporters. It was an amazing experience and we were proud to be among women in tech careers, DEI practitioners, and HR professionals across industries. This hybrid event created a one-of-a-kind forum for community building and equipped our team with tangible tools for navigating the workplace and advancing their careers.

We were grateful to join Erie House and the Erie Associate Board at its 2023 summer fundraiser, Playing it Forward. This event was hosted at Goose Island Barrel House. It was a fun evening of drinks, food, and music in support of Erie House, a modern social services nonprofit with programming and resources to support children & youth, mental health & community wellness, adult education & training, legal services, and more.
