HBK Graduate Engineer Anthony D’Angelo led two Chicago Public Schools classes in MSI Jr. Science Cafes. Anthony shared information about his background, engineering overall, and his day-to-day responsibilities. Students asked questions about the job and what they should study in order to become engineers.
Two Chicago Public Schools classes learned about utilities engineering from HBK Developer Mohan Krishna in the online MSI Junior Science Cafes.
Through the Kids Above All Holiday Gift Drive, generous individuals, as well as community, corporate and faith partners came together to provide holiday gifts for the children, youth and young adults in the program. Our women’s resource group, Strive, volunteers pitched in to act as Santa’s helpers in the Toy Room by matching gift donations to requests made by the many Kids Above All participants. With their efforts, the holidays will be more enjoyable for those who might not receive gifts otherwise.
HBK was pleased to support the JDRF Illinois One Dream Gala. This year’s gala took place for the first time in a few years, in-person with all health and safety protocols in place to protect attendees.
HBK supported the Iowa Heartlanders professional hockey team and Mercy Iowa City hospital with the Healthcare Heroes Night on December 11th.
HBK IMPACT volunteers leant their gift-wrapping talents to the Erie Neighborhood House to help make the holidays brighter for children who are part of the Erie community.
