HBK was pleased to participate in the Chicago Commons Pour Out Your Heart for Commons: A Virtual Beer & Wine Tasting Fundraiser on April 30th. Hosted by the Commons Emerging Leaders Council (CELC), Pour Out Your Heart brought together supporters of Chicago Commons for a fun evening of beer and wine tasting to raise funds for Commons’ COVID-19 Relief Fund.
HBK was pleased to support the 37th Annual Red Shoe Run/Walk 5K to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois on Sunday, May 2nd. Four HBKers were among 400 participants in the event.
HBK was pleased to support the 4th Annual Project Syncere ENPowered Games Judging on May 3rd. The theme of the middle school engineering competition was Engineering Social Change. Student projects offering solutions to topics ranging from body shaming to racism to healthcare inequality were evaluated by volunteer judges working in STEM.
HBKers helped plant more than 800 annuals in the Newbo/Czech Village district beautification effort in Cedar Rapids on May 13th. Thirteen HBK Engineering, CR Mainstreet and MON Communications volunteers worked together to help with the plantings along the district’s main streets.
