On Monday June 18th, the Rabine Group Foundation hosted their 10th Annual Charitable golf Outing at the Bull Valley Golf Club. This year's proceeds will benefit Kisses From Keegan and Friends, a local pediatric cancer foundation. HBK is a proud sponsor of the Rabine Foundation.
On Friday June 1st, HBK joined John Burns Construction Company and others at their 3rd annual charity sporting clay shoot. This year the event also included spear and tomahawk throwing stations. The event is held annually to support Convoy of Hope and other organizations.
On Tuesday, June 5th, HBK joined Mercy Home's Leader Council to celebrate a very important milestone for their graduating youth. Mercy Home for Boys & Girls provides critical, life-saving care to more than 700 hurting or at-risk young women and men every year. Congratulations to all the graduates!
HBK attended the National Latino Education Institute's (NLEI) 46th Annual Dinner & Silent Auction Celebration held on Tuesday, June 12 at the Fairmont Chicago at Millennium Park. This year's Keynote Speaker was, Anne Pramaggiore, Senior Executive Vice President & CEO of Exelon Utilities. NLEI's mission is to advance their community’s economic independence through market and results driven education, training, employment, and advocacy.

On Wednesday, June 20th HBK spent the morning supporting Penedo Charitable Organization and their commitment to serving at risk girls in the Edgewater Community. Penedo works tirelessly to offer their girls academic, social, and emotional guidance in order to create a strong foundation of positive decision making and academic success. Attendees were treated to an inspiring panel discussion with prominent female leaders from our own Chicago community, producer and media literacy educator Alicia Haywood, Illinois Supreme Court Justice the Honorable Anne Burke, Executive Vice President of Northern Trust Connie Lindsey, and NBC 5 News Today anchor Zoriada Sambolin. Each panelist shared their wisdom and offered words of advice for the recent graduates of the Penedo program as they move on to college and take strides towards developing their own professional identities.

The annual golf outing took place at Shoreacres in Lake, Bluff. Proceeds from this outing will allow Chicago Commons to continue to provide necessary tools to strengthen skills, develop self-sufficiency, and improve the well- being of their participants.
