Throughout ComEd’s Construction Jobs Educational Program, “CONSTRUCT”, HBK has been grateful to once again have the amazing opportunity to connect and interact with those who are interested in joining the utility industry. We began the year with the company overview where VP Mike Tedeschi shared all about HBK: reviewing who we are and what we do, and answering individual questions. Our next event was an incredible HR Panel, where our two HR reps Josh Park and Marilyn Jackson spoke among other HR Professionals in the industry to shed the latest tips, tricks and truths about everything from first impressions, grit and interviewing. Another HBK VP, Dan Rest also joined in at the Engineering Overview to give a more in depth look at the types of projects HBK is a part of. Most recently, our team joined a variety of other corporate sponsors at the CONSTRUCT Career Fair to individually connect and interact with students in the program!
HBK has been a proud participant of CONSTRUCT since its inception in 2013. CONSTRUCT is a nine-week training program offering up the information and guidance needed to compete for well paying, entry-level jobs in construction related fields for people of diverse backgrounds. We look forward to the remainder of this year's program.
