American Society of Civil Engineers
Founded in 1852, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) represents more than 133,000 members of the civil engineering profession worldwide, and is America's oldest national engineering society. ASCE's vision is to position engineers as global leaders building a better quality of life. Four employees of HBK are members of ASCE.

Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce
The Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce (GNPCC) has been in existence for 85 years. The Chamber helps and supports the business community of Northeast Philadelphia and in particular its membership. The Chamber works to promote area merchants and businesses, as well as historic landmarks of Northeast Philadelphia. One individual from the HBK team is an active member of the GNPCC.
Greater Chicago Damage Prevention Council
The GCDPC is made up of representatives from facility owners and operators, the City of Chicago DIGGER system, excavators, state and local governments and others interested in protection of underground facilities. The council provides an open forum for these organizations to share ideas to minimize damages to underground facilities by taking a proactive approach through education and partnering with those engaged in excavating in the City of Chicago. Six individuals from HBK Engineering are members of the GCDPC including the president, Ronald G. Kaminski, P.E., who also holds an office position with the organization.
GCDPC Best Practices Program Underground Construction
The GCDPC has developed a Best Practices approach to educate excavators and facility owners who have been involved with both excellent and substandard performance issues. The Best Practices approach addresses these performance issues and provides progressive steps in education and compliance to allow all parties an opportunity to learn from each other. To facilitate this program, the GCDPC Best Practices committee invites the parties to a round table discussion. Two individuals from HBK Engineering are members of the GCDPC Best Practices Program including the president, Ronald G. Kaminski, P.E., who also serves as Chairman of this committee.
Illinois Society of Professional Engineers
The Illinois Society of Professional Engineers (ISPE), established in 1886, is a professional association representing the interests of over 2,500 engineer members from all fields of practice. Headquartered in Springfield, ISPE includes among its membership licensed professional engineers, licensed structural engineers, licensed land surveyors, engineer interns, graduate engineers, and engineering students.
ISPE is a state society member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, and consists of 21 chapters throughout the State of Illinois. ISPE is governed by a Board of Directors made up of an elected Executive Committee and Representatives appointed from each Chapter. Two individuals from HBK Engineering are members of the ISPE.
Illinois Road and Transportation Builders Association
Formed in 1938 to promote the transportation needs of the state, the Illinois Road and Transportation Builders Association is now the largest statewide organization of companies designing, building and maintaining the state highways, transit systems, railways and aviation systems.
The core purpose of IRTBA's existence is: "to protect, improve & promote the transportation design & construction industry in Illinois." Ronald G. Kaminski, P.E., President of HBK Engineering, is a proud member of IRTBA.
International Right of Way Association
Since its inception as a not-for-profit association in 1934, IRWA has united the efforts of its members toward professional development, improved service to employers and the public, and advancements within the right of way profession. IRWA is the unsurpassed source of right of way educational programs and professional services worldwide. Ronald G. Kaminski, P.E., President of HBK Engineering, is a proud member of IRWA.

National Society of Professional Engineers
The National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) is the recognized voice and advocate of licensed Professional Engineers. Founded in 1934, NSPE strengthens the engineering profession by promoting engineering licensure and ethics, enhancing the engineer image, advocating and protecting PEs' legal rights at the national and state levels, publishing news of the profession, providing continuing education opportunities, and much more. One individual from HBK Engineer is a member of NSPE.
ASCE Construction Institute
The Construction Institute (CI), one of seven Institutes in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), was established as a result of a merger between the Construction and Materials Divisions at ASCE. CI is the first national organization designed to meet the needs of all individuals working within the construction industry. Membership not only includes those persons involved in building the construction project, designing the construction projects, and teaching construction, but also equipment suppliers, material suppliers, testing laboratories, bonding agencies, insurance providers, financial firms, accounting firms, and legal firms that support and contribute to the growth and development of the construction industry. Two individuals from HBK Engineer is a member of CI.
City Club of Chicago
Since its inception in 1903, the City Club of Chicago has served as a venue for nonpartisan forums and debates on public issues that pertain to Chicago metropolitan area residents. The City Club of Chicago proudly attracts the expertise of city officials, prominent state leaders and people of national acclaim. These persons use the forums as a conduit to share their viewpoints on timely and important policy issues. Three individuals from HBK Engineering are members of the City Club of Chicago.
